1. Research Students (ASCOJA recommendation)အတြက္လိုအပ္ခ်က္မ်ား
1. FIELDS OF STUDY
Fields of study must be subjects which applicants will be able to study and research at Japanese universities.
Keep in mind, however, that the field of study may be restricted to particular fields by the Japanese Embassy/Consulate General. (Hereinafter referred to as the “Japanese diplomatic mission”)
A student who majors in medicine, dentistry or welfare science will not be allowed to engage in clinical training such as medical care and operative surgery until he/she obtains a permit from the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare under applicable Japanese laws. Majors in traditional entertainment such as Kabuki and classical Japanese dances, or in subjects that seek practical training in specific technologies or techniques at factories or companies are excluded.
2. QUALIFICATIONS
(1) Nationality: Applicant must be Myanmar Nationality.
(2)Age:Applicant must have been born on or after April 2, 1981.
(3)Academic Background:
Applicant must be a graduate from a Japanese university or have academic ability equal or superior to that of a Japanese university graduate. A person will be deemed to have academic ability equal or superior to that of a university graduate, if he/she
[1]has completed or will complete a 16-year school curriculum in a foreign country (or an 18-yearschool curriculum if he/she desires to enroll in a doctoral course in the field of medicine, dentistry or veterinary science, or pharmacy which is founded on a 6-year department or faculty); or
[2] is or will be aged 22 or older and has taken an individual entrance qualification examination and has been judged by a graduate school as being equal or superior in academic ability to a university graduate (or 24 or older if he/she desires to enroll in a doctoral course in the field of medicine, dentistry or veterinary science, or pharmacy which is founded on a 6-year department or faculty).
Note: Eligible applicants include those who otherwise satisfy or will satisfy qualification requirements for admission to a Japanese graduate school. As a general rule, a person who has completed a doctoral course may not apply unless he/she seeks to obtain a degree.
(4)Major Field of Study:
Applicant should apply for the field of study he/she studied at the previous university or any related field. Applicant must choose a field on which he/she can receive education and perform research at the University of his/her choice.
(5)Japanese Language:
Applicant must be willing to learn the Japanese language, interested in Japan and enthusiastic about deepening his/her understanding of Japan after arriving, and capable of engaging in study and research while adapting himself/herself to life in Japan.
(6)Health: Applicant must be physically and mentally healthy enough to purse study at university.
(7) The Applicants must not be Government employee.
3. SELECTION
1. MAJA will perform primary screening of applicants by means of submitted application documents, interviews and examinations.
Examination subjects - All applicants must sit examinations in English.
2. Results of the primary screening will be notified to applicants on the date designated by MAJA.
3. Applicants who have been selected by this primary screening will be nominated to embassy of Japan.
4. The nominated candidates will have to sit for tests in the middle of June and Interview conducted by embassy of Japan and the selected applicants will be recommended to MEXT.
5. MEXT will perform final selection of the recommended applicants and select scholarship grantees.
2. Undergraduate Studentsအတြက္လိုအပ္ခ်က္မ်ား
1.FIELDS OF STUDY
Those who wish to study in Japan as an undergraduate student must choose a field of major from (1) or (2) below.Applicants may enter a first, second and third choice.
1) Social Sciences and Humanities
Social Sciences and Humanities- A: Laws, Politics, Pedagogy, Sociology, Literature, History, Japanese Language, and others.
Social Sciences and Humanities-B: Economics, and Business Administration.
Note#1: Applicants who wish to major in the fields categorized as "others" may have difficulties in finding universities that can accept them.
Note#2: Major Field connects related to "Economics" and "Business Administration" of Humanities B is not included in "others".
2) Natural Sciences-A: Science( Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), Electric and Electronics Studies (Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering), Mechanical Studies( Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering), Chemical Studies ( Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Textile Engineering), and other fields( Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Maritime Engineering , Biotechnology).
Natural Science-B: Agricultural studies(Agriculture, Agricultural Chemistry, Agriculture Engineering, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry, Food Science, Fisheries), Hygienic studies(Pharmacy, Hygienic, Nursing)m and Science (Biology).
Natural Science-C: Medicine, and Dentistry.
Note: An international student who intends to major in Natural Science and would like to choose more than one major is required to choose and select first- , second-, and third-choice subjects from the subjects in brackets from within the same course(i.e.natural Science A, B,or C).However , a student who selects Course C as his/her first choice my choose his/her second-choice subjects from Course B or C and third-choice subject from Course B because Course C offers only two subjects.
2. QUALIFICATIONS
(1)Nationality: The Applicant must be Myanmar Nationality.
(2)Age: The Applicant must have been born between April 2, 1994 and April 1, 1999.
(3)Academic Background: The Applicant must have completed a 12-year regular course of school education or have graduated from a school equivalent to an upper secondary school in Japan (Included is any Applicant, who will satisfy the above qualifications by March, 2016.)
(4)Japanese Language: Applicant must be willing to learn the Japanese language and receive college of technology education in it.
(5)Health: The Applicant must be mentally and physically healthy enough to purse study at a university in Japan.
(6) The Applicants must not be Government employee.
3. SELECTION

For applicants for a major in social Sciences and Humanities: All applicants must sit for mathematic, English and Japanese (3 subjects in all)
For applicants for a major in Natural Sciences: All applicants must sit for mathematics, English, two subjects selected from among physics, chemistry and biology, and Japanese (5 subjects in all).For selecting tow from physics, chemistry and biology, applicants must choose
Physics and chemistry when applying for Natural Sciences A; and
Chemistry and biology when applying for Natural Sciences B or C.

Note 1: Applicants must select a "Field of study" and "Majors and related terms" from the attachment "Majors and Related Key Terms for Fields of Study" and enter in "Chosen field of study in Japan" on the application form. For each of the three choices be sure to enter your desire subject of study, referring to the attachment "Majors and Related Key Terms for Fields of Study"
Note 2: (4) Materials engineering may not be studied in combination with other fields of study. Applicants wishing to choose more than one major should select their first, second and third from within (4) Materials engineering.

(3)Academic Background: The Applicant must have completed a school curriculum equivalent to and upper secondary school (an 11-year or longer curriculum starting at elementary school). (Included is any Applicant, who will satisfy the above qualifications by March, 2015.)
(4)Japanese Language: Applicant must be willing to learn the Japanese language and receive college of technology education in it.
(5)Health: The Applicant must be mentally and physically healthy enough to purse study at a college of technology in Japan. An Applicant who wishes to major in maritime engineering mush has 0.6 or more vision in either eye with or without glasses, and no color-blindness.
(6)The Applicants must not be Government employee.
3.SELECTION
1. MAJA will perform primary screening of applicants by means of submitted application documents, interviews and academic examinations.
Examination subjects
All applicants wishing to study (4) Materials engineering must sit examinations in Japanese, English, mathematics, and chemistry.
All applicants wishing to study in fields other than (4) Materials engineering must sit examinations in Japanese, English, mathematics, and physics.

Note 1: Select a field of study from 1-7 above, enter it in ''Chosen field of study in Japan" on the application form. Applicants may also refer to a separate sheet titled "Majors and related subjects for field of study", enter a first and second choice from the same field of study.
Note 2: Applicants who choose (7) "Other Fields "are required to specify what kind of field they want in "Chosen field of study and subjects in Japan (Field of study)" on the application form.
Note3: Applicants who wish to major in (7) "OtherFields"(Agriculture, Medical Care, etc.) may have difficulties in finding a specialized training college that can accept them.
Note 4: In regard to"Other fields of study "keep in mind in the some cases the application cannot be accepted because the period for completing the course of study will be more than the term of disbursement of the scholarship.
Note 5: Applicants who select "Other Subjects" for a field of study should specify their chosen subject in "Chosen field of study and subjects in Japan (first choice of subjects, Second choice of subjects)" on the application form.

4. Specialized Training College Studentsအတြက္လိုအပ္ခ်က္မ်ား
1.FIELDS OF STUDY
Those who wish to study in Japan as an exchange student at a specialized training college should choose a field of study to major in from # (1) to # (7) below.
(1)Technology (5)Fashion and Home Economics
(2)Personal Care and Nutrition (6)Culture and General Education
(3)Education and Welfare (7)Other Fields
(4)Business
Note 1: Select a field of study from 1-7 above, enter it in ''Chosen field of study in Japan" on the application form. Applicants may also refer to a separate sheet titled "Majors and related subjects for field of study", enter a first and second choice from the same field of study.
Note 2: Applicants who choose (7) "Other Fields "are required to specify what kind of field they want in "Chosen field of study and subjects in Japan (Field of study)" on the application form.
Note3: Applicants who wish to major in (7) "OtherFields"(Agriculture, Medical Care, etc.) may have difficulties in finding a specialized training college that can accept them.
Note 4: In regard to"Other fields of study "keep in mind in the some cases the application cannot be accepted because the period for completing the course of study will be more than the term of disbursement of the scholarship.
Note 5: Applicants who select "Other Subjects" for a field of study should specify their chosen subject in "Chosen field of study and subjects in Japan (first choice of subjects, Second choice of subjects)" on the application form.
2. QUALIFICATIONS
(1)Nationality: The Applicant must be Myanmar nationality.
(2)Age: The Applicant must have been born between April 2, 1994 and April 1, 1999.
(3)Academic Background: The Applicant must have completed a school curriculum equivalent to and upper secondary school (a 12-year or longer curriculum starting at elementary school). (Included is any Applicant, who will satisfy the above qualifications by March, 2016.)
(4)Japanese Language: Applicant must be willing to learn the Japanese language and receive college of technology education in it.
(5)Health: The Applicant must be mentally and physically healthy enough to purse study at a college of technology in Japan.
(6)The Applicants must not be Government employee.
3.SELECTION
1. MAJA will perform primary screening of applicants by means of submitted application documents, interviews and academic examinations.
Examination subjects
All applicants must sit examinations in Japanese, English and mathematics.
2. Results of the primary screening will be notified to applicants on the date designated by MAJA.
3. Applicants who have been selected by this primary screening will be nominated to embassy of Japan.
4. The nominated candidates will have to sit for tests in the middle of June and Interview conducted by embassy of Japan and the selected applicants will be recommended to MEXT.
5. MEXT will perform final selection of the recommended applicants and select scholarship grantees.

တို႕ႏွင့္ တကြ MAJAရံုးခန္းသို႕ ၂၀၁၅ခုႏွစ္၊ ေမလ(၁၁)ရက္ ၊ ညေန (၄း၃၀)ထက္ေနာက္မက်ဘဲလူကိုယ္တိုင္ လာေရာက္ ေလ်ာက္ထားရပါမည္။ စာတိုက္မွတစ္ဆင့္ ေပးပို႕လာေသာေလ်ွာက္လႊာမ်ားအား လက္ခံစဥ္းစားမည္မဟုတ္ပါ။ အတည္ျဖစ္ေသာေရြးခ်ယ္မႈကို ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံဆိုင္ရာဂ်ပန္သံရံုးကျပဳလုပ္မည္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။ အေသးစိတ္သိရွိလိုပါကMAJAရံုးခန္းသို ့လူကိုယ္တိုင္ၿဖစ္ေစ၊ တယ္လီဖုန္းအမွတ္ ၀၉-၈၆၁၂၁၅၁ သို ့ျဖစ္ေစရံုးခ်ိန္အတြင္းဆက္သြယ္ေမးၿမန္းစံုစမ္းႏိုင္ပါသည္။
